$8.00
White willow has a very long history of use with Native American healers and in Traditional Chinese Medicine for many centuries. The transition of willow bark to aspirin began in 1828 when German chemist Felix Hoffman isolated the active ingredient and named it salicin. In 1899, the Bayer company began manufacturing and selling a modified form of the willow bark chemical acetylsalicylic acid, or aspirin. This has been noted as a "modern miracle medicine" in the treatment of joint pain for 2 centuries.
